"Uniting, Edifying, Inspiring, Motivating & Empowering Women"

January 2, 2008

Our woman in the spotlight this week is the wife of a minister and a stay-at-home mom who is deeply involved in the lives of her four children and their school activities. Not only does this amazing woman have the same initials as myself we also have a daughter with the same name.  Her name is Sabrina Walker and she is a representative for Mia Bella candles.

Initially in May 2001 she was introduced to Network Marketing and direct sales by her brother. Sabrina remembers it seeming like the perfect thing to do since she was already a stay at home mom. Why not build a business too, she thought. So she signed up under him in this company. She was really impressed with the products. Sabrina was spending a lot of money but wasn’t really making any. She knew she was in it for the long hall because she had made the decision to be a network-marketer. She felt she had the best of both worlds, being able to be home with her children and building a business. She stayed with this company for two years but she knew she had too make a change. In October 2003 she was introduced to the Mia Bella Family, a company that markets gourmet candles. Sabrina loves these candles because they don't have a perfume smell. She says each scent is true to its name from the moment its lit to the jar is empty. Sabrina loves what she does and thanks God for blessing her with the Mia Bella Family.

Sabrina thanks God for being here today after overcoming a near fatal battle with an illness back in 1976. I am pleased to have met Sabrina through her daughter Jessica Walker who also has a business page on the Ryze Network. I am pleased to be able to present to you an interview I had with Mrs. Walker a short time ago.

W2W: Sabrina tell us a little bit about how the Lord help you overcome your illness back in 1976?

Sabrina: Sherri, I believe the best way to answer this question is to say that he had to show me how I could still live my life even though I was blind. I had to learn how to rely, and put my trust in Him. I have to tell you it was hard, and I didn’t help the situation with my stubbornness. There were many days when I would say “why me.” For example when I would drop something on the floor. Instead of trying to find it by myself, I would call whoever was in the house to pick it up for me. God has taught me over the years if I would stand still, and listen to His voice. I can find it with His help. There are so many different ways He has showed me, and is still showing me how to be the woman He wants me to be.

W2W: What is your favorite scripture and how is it relevant to your life today?

Sabrina: This is a hard one because I have so many favorite scriptures. If I had to choose just one it would be Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I love this particular scripture so much because throughout my life times get hard. I am faced with challenges throughout the day having to do with my blindness. I find myself wanting to give up. I know that I can’t give up, but if I believe in Him. He will give me the strength I need to continue on in this race.

W2W: How has your experience been working with the Mia Bella Family?

Sabrina: Awesome! I can not tell you in words how amazing being a part of the Mia Bella family has brought so much happiness to my life. The love, sharing, and caring for everyone in the company including the owners is so wonderful! In 2019 when my youngest daughter Janaya graduates from high school. My husband, our Mia Bella Gourmet Candles, and myself are going to travel the world in our new black and silver rv. Sharing God’s Love, and the added bonus of having our candles to share with everybody.

W2W: Tell us a little bit about how you feel God working in your life? In what ways do you feel his leading?

Sabrina: I guest the biggest thing that God is dealing with me right now is being patient. Sherri, I have to tell you that this is a difficult battle. As you know in asking for patients the only way to get it is by going through some things. Well I am going through some trials, and tribulations. I know that He is going to see me to the end. What He brings me to, He will bring me through.
I have to allow God to lead me in all things because if I try to lead I guarantee you I will mess it up. God is the head of my life, and without Him I can do nothing.

W2W: Being the wife of a minister, what is your role within the church alongside your husband?

Sabrina: We have just started attending a new church, and so right now I am enjoying working with the children. Our children are the future, and so what you teach them when they are young will stay with them when they grow old. Some might stray away, but they will come back.

W2W: What goals are you striving toward reaching in 2008?

Sabrina: I want God’s Light that is in me to so shine that more people will want the same thing. Will come to know Him, and want to have a relationship with Him.
I am going to teach more moms, and dads what I do at home. So that they can do the same, and be home with their children like I am.
I am going to reach 10K Diamond by December 2008.
I am going to double our household income so that we can double up on our van payments.

W2W: Do you have any final thoughts or words of encouragement you would like to share with us before this interview ends?

Sabrina: Yes, Sherri first I would like to thank God, and you for this opportunity to share my story with others.
The most important thing I would like to leave is: Never give up! No matter how bad it may seem or how bad it may look to you. Please know that help is on the way.
I didn’t give up even though there were many times when I felt like throwing in the towel. God gave me the strength to hang in there. I am so thankful because I now have a wonderful husband of 21 years, and 4 great children.

The Woman2Woman Lounge wants to thank Mrs. Sabrina Walker for allowing us to share her story that has been  a blessing to me to read and I know it will be a blessing to the eyes of those who will come through here and read it as well. Sabrina know that you are truly an inspiration and a blessing to many and I love you lady! More information on Sabrina Walker & Mia Bella Candles can be found by visiting her website at:

Our Woman in the spotlight this week has a heart and a passion for Christ. She is a firm believer in keeping God first, as she knows the empowerment (freedom and liberty) that is available to everyone through Christ. She lives in Saskatchewan, Canada with her husband and her two children.
This woman has a spirit that wants to please God. She is an author and a member of the Pink Ladies club (A Christian Lifestyle Community For Women). Her name is Karla Meachem.

Karla is one of ten women who were asked by Randee Krumwiede to be a part of a collaboration of authors for the book, Mirror Mirror on the wall (10 Women, 10 Commandments, 10 weeks). Like us all, Karla had some demons in her life she was dealing with that only God could and did break the chains off and free her from. Karla has a powerful testimony to share with our readers in this interview and I am so glad she agreed to share it first with the Woman2Woman Lounge. I don’t believe this is the last time we will hear from Mrs. Karla Meachem. I truly believe God has more in store for this obedient woman of God. Now grab your java sit back, relax, free your mind and enjoy reading this extraordinary woman’s testimony.

W2W: Karla tell us about the Pink Ladies Club book collaboration you were a part of?

Karla: Great first question!

I've been a member of the Pink Collar Club for over a year now. The Club is an online Christian Lifestyle Community for Women, designed to engage women in discovering and implementing God's unique purpose for their lives and His Kingdom. From the first time that I met Randee, I knew in my spirit that I could learn a lot from this woman. The vision of the Pink Collar Club excited me – 1 Million Members and 1 Million Ministries. With God, all things are possible! Little did I know that this was just the beginning…

I've been a subscriber to Randee's PCC newsletter since I found the ministry; and awhile back she was looking for writers to contribute to the first ever Pink Collar Club e-book project. I remember reading the topic, "Promises of God" and thinking "awesome topic!”

My spirit stirred. “what a great topic to write on..."

And then my insecurities crept in, overwhelmed me with, "I can't do that! I’ve never written for a larger audience." The thoughts swirled in my head and I deleted the email. Awhile later, Randee and I were sharing a conversation by telephone and she asked me if I would consider being the 10th and final writer of the group. She felt nudged by the Holy Spirit to ask me to consider. I was blown away! "Wow, Lord - me?!!!" I have always loved to write letters, notes, in a journal...but, never ever had I ever considered that I could write for something to be published. That intimidated me...I knew I couldn't rely on my own strength and only through God's strength would I be able to complete this task.

For 10 weeks, each writer wrote on one commandment per week. 10 women. 10 commandments. 10 weeks. We had one initial meeting with Randee as a group; and a final meeting once all of the submissions were handed in. By the end of the 10 week period, I knew that I had grown in my walk with God. I knew that this was exactly where God wanted me. I knew I was to have participated. Diving deep into God's Word, spending more time praying and pondering...I found myself reassessing my obedience to His Word. I found myself smack dab in the middle of a sin that had tormented me for years. I hated writing on the 10 commandments while struggling with an area of sin in my life. Writing on the 10 commandments for 10 weeks was the perfect way for God to receive my full attention. There was no escape. It was a long 10 weeks, having my life look at me in the mirror every day. I longed for my reflection to be "more like Jesus!" There came a point where I knew that I needed to make a decision. God was questioning my heart. Did I want to continue sinning? Or did I want to leave those chains behind & move forward with God?

I knew I could no longer do both. All I could think about was the Scripture; “So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
It was time to choose. It was during this time that I learned to really cry out to God. "Lord, I don't want to struggle with this any longer..." I was desperate to be free. I'm thankful to say that God set me free; but, it was one of the hardest things in my life to overcome. When I finally started to weep (on a trip home from the city), I wept and wept and wept...from the depths of my soul for almost 2 hours. By the time I returned home, I was exhausted. I went to bed early. And awoke in the morning, feeling clean & refreshed! I felt like a new woman; in fact when I looked in the mirror. I knew what Christ had done for me! What a glorious day! I was exhilarated! The chains were gone; I had been set free! I encourage you to pick up this e-book and read our thoughts on the 10 commandments. I also Pray that you will make time to study the 10 commandments for yourself. Allow God to reveal Himself to you in a brand new way.

W2W: What needs do you try to reach for women in what you write?

Karla: Sharing my thoughts in Mirror, Mirror…on the Wall was the first opportunity I was given to write for a larger audience. My writing before Mirror, Mirror consisted of hand-written notes to people that I knew, or entries in my journal. My writing was always straight from my heart.
In writing the book, Mirror, Mirror...on the Wall, I loved being able to include Scripture to back up my thoughts. I wanted everyone who read this book to know and realize JUST HOW MUCH Jesus loves them, regardless of what is going on in their lives. And I also wanted the readers to know that they can be free from the bondage of sin in their lives. Little did I know that God would use these writings to spur me onto a deeper level of freedom myself! Praise God!
"So if the Son sets you FREE, you will be FREE INDEED." ~ John 8:36

W2W: When you are moved to write what things do you do in preparation for your time to record your thoughts?

Karla: I love to sit in a quiet place with my favorite writing pen and then just write from my heart.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." ~ Psalm 46:10

W2W: Karla please share your testimony of how you came to Christ with our readers.

Karla: Well, I never became a born-again Christian until I was 29 years old. I wasn't raised in a Christian home, nor was I around a lot of Christian people. All through my life, seeds were planted; some grew, some didn't. But, praise God He didn't give up on me! The time that I remember being hungry for something more in my life was just before I had accepted Christ. I was living with my boyfriend (husband now), I was dealing with issues from my past; and I was very tired of living a life of pain and struggle. I knew there was "more to life" than what I was living. At the time, we were living in a community of approximately 2500 people. I was always drawn to one little gift shop on Main Street. It was the only place that seemed to offer me a sense of peace. Over time, the owner would share nuggets of truth with me through our conversations. Little by little, God watered those seeds and drew me unto Him. I remember the night very clearly that I accepted Christ as my Savior. I had wanted the world to stop because I felt so out of control. I didn’t have suicidal thoughts; I just didn't want to feel pain anymore. It was in that type of desperation that I finally chose to let go of me being in control and asked God to take over.

It was like the world was taken off my shoulders. I felt light, even joyful. I had hope! I knew, without a doubt, that I had made the right decision. I would love to say that it's been an easy journey, but it hasn't. But, it has been much easier than doing things alone and in my own strength. "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." ~ Matthew 11:30
And, "that is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." ~ 2 Corinthians 12:10

W2W: Do you have any words of encouragement for women who are dealing with depression and feeling hopeless?

Karla: This is a subject near and dear to my heart. When I was dealing with depression and hopelessness, I was not a Christian. It was this lack of hope that tugged my heart towards Jesus.
But, I remember clearly how overwhelmed I felt even with the day to day responsibilities. I had no energy, didn’t want to eat/ate too much, couldn’t sleep/or slept too much. There were times that I was overwhelmed by deep, deep sadness and hopelessness. I remember…oh, how I remember

…“Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

Do I have words of encouragement? Yes, cry out to JESUS… He hears your cries! He hears your prayers! Be still and know that He is God! There are many ways that you can take a stand against depression…prayer, exercise, medication, counseling, support group, music, doing something you love…Please seek God for wisdom in your situation.

These were my favorite Scriptures that I clung to when I was dealing with depression.

"We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed… Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 16-18 ).

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint".
(Isaiah 40:31).

...greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world..(1 John 4:4)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)

And last, but not least – please don’t forget - you are a daughter of the Most High God! He loves you, He loves you, He loves you. He really does; believe it!

W2W: What are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2008?

Karla: Wow! That's a very interesting question! In previous years, I have always made a list of items that I've wanted to work on. (I'm sure many of you know the list that I am referring to...the one with the resolutions that you didn't keep! Lol) This year, my desire is simple. I want MORE of Jesus; therefore I want LESS of me. Have Your Own Way Lord...

W2W: Before ending this interview would you leave our readers with a favorite quote from scripture that you feel is relevant to your life and could encourage other women?

Karla: "For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage." ~ Galatians 5:1 This Scripture is a great reminder to me that Christ has set me FREE; free from the chains that held me in captivity. I need to take an ACTIVE role in my walk with Christ, in order to not be ensnared again. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. ~ John 8:36 NIV

Our women in the spotlight this week is a wife and mother who is dedicated to teaching and sharing about natural health, veganism, and ways to have a more proactive lifestyle. With Vegan Family Living, Natural From Home, and her ministry Abundantly Designed she is able to do just that. Her name is LaTara Ham-Ying.

LaTara and her husband Rupert are a team with a desire and goal to get, stay healthy, and to teach others the same. On occasion they are asked to cater for vegan events and to show others how to cook meals they themselves prepare. LaTara also creates body recipes, tinctures, and other healthy items. Her mission is to help other families be healthy and happy! I have heard this woman give her testimony with such conviction and feeling. You can tell LaTara has a heart that wants to help others, she has a heartfelt desire to bring about change in another's life. If you have ever heard or read her piece on the Authentic insights of Mary J. Blige through her music you would be able to feel how she is trying to encourage other women with the words of another. A lot of Christians don’t particularly care for most, if any secular music, but the truth be told there are some Christians that still make secular music and have a positive message within their songs. Often we get turned off and distracted from really hearing the words because we think when we hear the beat ok this is just another party or hip hop jam and we become disinterested. This is not always the case, if we would pause for a moment as she did and really listen to the lyrics
being spoken there is a message within that can be encouraging, uplifting, and empowering to others as LaTara  found in some of the music of Mary J, Blige. It has been a pleasure for me to be a member of some of the groups on the Ryze Network because you get to cross paths with some people who leave a positive feeling within your spirit, something you can carry with you, learn from, and be excited about sharing with another. I have come to know some things about Mrs. LaTara Ham-Ying through the CWOP (Christian Women of Power) Network and I am so glad that our paths crossed and that I can share her testimony here with you all. I hope you enjoy reading about this precious woman of God as much as I have. Here is her story:

W2W: LaTara tell us about Abundantly Designed ministry and you and your husband's mission to help people live a healthy lifestyle.

LaTara: Abundantly Designed is a natural health ministry that focuses on teaching Christians all about what God expects from us when it comes to the care of our bodies. We work with individuals and families teaching them how to live a more natural life in Christ. Cooking lessons, blogs, websites, newsletters, podcasts, and seminars all encompass the Abundantly Designed Ministry. My husband and a few friends are soon going to be starting a health focused ministry and I will simply incorporate A.D.M.

Too many Christians are sick and they use excuses to stay that way. Medicating ourselves with most pharmaceuticals only serves as a way to put a bandage on the illness rather than heal them.
If we take the time to learn what foods to put in our bodies, how to properly care for our environment, and replace our negative habits with proactive ones then we will glorify God with not just our spirit but our bodies as well. Even our minds and spirits are effected by the things I just mentioned. So in essence by a more natural way of life contributes in a positive way to the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Far too many of us work on the spirit but have a warped mind set when it comes to our health. I know I have been there and still have a few struggles.
It hurts my heart to see God's people not utilizing the wonders of nature like herbs, raw foods, and essential oils to live a more natural lifestyle. We would rather resist and rest in conveniences created by man that only harm us in the long run.

W2W: How do you balance family, ministry, and work?

LaTara: I don't do it well but I am learning. I recently learned that the main reasons why I don't balance well is because I don't ask for help, I don't outsource my business tasks, and I don't prioritize correctly. So I am now working with a VA and learning to use the resources from my Mom Mastermind group.

W2W: What scripture relates to your life presently?

LaTara: Psalms 139 in its entirety. Especially where is refers to the Lord searching me and knowing me and remove any unclean thing. Psalms 139 gives me such a sense of confidence and the drive to allow the Holy Spirit to take away the dirt in my life. Obedience is pertinent to the walk of a Child of a God and in these last days we would be remiss to continue dwelling in sin when for every temptation presented us God has provided a way of escape.

W2W: Who or what is your inspiration?

LaTara: I would have to say that life inspires me. I say this because this we do not know when our days here on this side of earth will end or when Jesus will come back. Although we can guess by the things occurring today we just don't know. So I am inspired by life because I know that I need to live the one I have everyday as if it were my last.
This means that I must strive to walk in the will of God daily. And when I miss the mark I must find out why, seek forgiveness, repent and turn from that wicked way.

W2W: Share with us what God is doing in your life right now.

LaTara: Right now God is giving me a sense of being and confidence, He is showing me the value of laying down my life for Him because soon we will all have to make a deeper commitment to Him or simply co-exist with the world -that will be a dangerous thing to do. We will no longer be able to straddle the fence. So for me I am learning to truly walk with God, follow His ways, and accept where I am in life.

W2W: What gifts and talents do you feel God has blessed you with to use for his glory?

LaTara: I am an encourager and I also have the gifts of leadership and wisdom. Those are my gifts.
My talents are writing, communication, listening, and seeing a need and seeking a solution.

W2W: LaTara before we end this interview, tell us how you came to Christ?

LaTara: You know I accepted Christ in March of 1989. It was time in my life when I was searching in all the wrong places and I still searched in those places after accepting Him.
I will not sit here and paint a rosy picture and tell you that it was a blessed conversion because I did not treat it as such. I still had sex, still partied, still drank, still participated in the sins of others and excused their crime. I was a saved thug if you want to call it that. It was about two years after sitting accepting Christ that I truly gave my life over to Him. Even then it was some years before I grew into a true relationship with Him. So while I accepted Him almost 19 years ago, He is just now truly becoming my Lord. I praise God for His grace and mercy because He still used me in the midst of denying the very essence of His Son. Truth be told I should be dead.

Not by my might BUT by the Spirit of the Lord.  She has learned to rely and trust in the wisdom and will of God. God’s grace and mercy has allowed her to share with men and women who are going through tough challenges.

Regina is a passionate and engaging speaker and radio show guest and have spoken on topics about having the right attitude in business, personal growth, marital relationships, direct sales, MLM, the network marketing industry, networking, biblical principles for women and internet tips for newbies.

We are please to share with you our interview with this woman of God who is not afraid to give the Lord praise! We hope you too will be blessed and be inspired by the testimony of, Regina Baker, our chosen Woman in the spotlight of the week.

W2W: Regina Tell us about and how you came to be co-founder of Wahmcart?

Regina: I saw the need for small business owners to be able to implement an ecommerce system into their existing businesses that wouldn't drain their budgets.  My partner and I talked about this need and by the Grace of God, we met it.  Our goal was, and is, to reach the masses.  Lynette and I believe that small business dominate a large portion of the online market place however, a huge percentage of small businesses miss the opportunity to provide a secure environment like Wahmcart due to the lack of funds. This is why Wahmcart was born. Our goal is to educate the small business individual and companies with ecommerce solutions that will allow them to work smarter, not harder while at the same time providing an affordable solution that the average person can afford.

W2W: During some of your speaking engagements you have spoken to women about "personal growth". Please share with our readers the advise you give to your listeners regarding this topic?

Regina: Personal growth happens when we allow ourselves to be educated to the wisdom of things we are unaware of.  It is also a process of [a choice] desiring favorable change within that leads us to an even closer relationship with Jesus Christ.  The first step is to examine one's self, the bible tells us to examine ourselves daily to see whether we're in faith amen?  We receive personal growth by praying daily, reading and studying the word, worshipping God while becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

W2W: What is your favorite scripture and why?

Regina: I don't really have a "single" favorite scripture.  However, I do love the way the Holy Spirit brings the word back to my remembrance in prayer and witnessing.  I am delighted when I can speak the scripture out of my mouth to someone to bless their day or to answer a question, that is what gives God the glory!  One that speaks volumes to me has been, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness and ALL things shall be added unto you."  Matt 6:33

W2W: Where do you feel the Lord has used you professionally over the past 5 years?

Regina: I was involved in a Network Marketing company where God blessed me to travel quite extensively to professionally minister to thousands of individuals.  Little did I know at the time what was actually happening but God knew what He had purposed for such that time.  He allows me to minister His word through writing, coaching and mentoring on a daily basis.

W2W: What do you feel God leading you into as your "next level"?

Regina: You know it's funny you asked that because I never really know what the next level is until I'm already in it (smile).

W2W: Many in the world are going through dark times and just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, would you share a few words of hope with them?

Regina: To trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding.  ACKNOWLEDGE HIM and He will direct your path.  Prov 3:5
We struggle much when we don't seek relief.  When we say we believe in God, there is a process - a journey so to speak.  I encourage people to dive into the word of God.  Get by yourself and talk to God just like a friend, sister or brother.  Tell Him (even though He already knows) everything, the pain, the struggle, the lack, the confusion, tell Him all of it!  When you stretch out before God like a baby that cries out for help, He'll answer you.

Visualize this:  You're about to go into a pitch black tunnel.  You can't see what's in front of you, behind you or on either side of you.  Your arms are stretched wide, feeling your way through.  But all you see is darkness.  In the meantime you know in your heart that God has given every man and woman the measurement of faith so you draw on that, pressing through... walking and speaking out of your mouth that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and that you know God promised to never leave you nor forsake you therefore He is with you even in the dark!

As you continue through the tunnel, you get scaped up because you can't see anything so you're running into things yet, you keep going because you're reminded by the Holy Spirit that you shall not die, but live: and will declare the works of the Lord and that NO good thing shall ever be withheld from you!  You know that it's just a testing of your faith and that you're a conqueror in Christ Jesus!  You have been blessed with power from on High!

Then all of a sudden, you begin to faintly see a "pin" light farther down and as you continue in your praise to God for the things He has done, the light begins to get larger and larger and you're no longer stumbling, running into the things, because you now have clarity, God is ordering your steps!  You're walking according to His directions because your faith has been increased!

NOW (right a this moment) Faith is substance of things HOPED for and the evidence of things, unseen.  Hebrews 11:1

W2W: In closing, how can our readers pray for you? What can your sisters in Christ hold up in prayer concerning you?

Regina: That God's will is performed according to the purposed He ordained for my life before I was born.  That He is glorified in our schools, churches, hospitals, military, nursing homes, prisons, and in our nation!  That the Leaders of our nation will humbly bow themselves before God in forgiveness and to do what is right in God's eyesight so that the earth may be restored.

Please be in agreement with me that my Brother (www.ReginaldGlenn.com) will be released expediently and that God's glory shall be seen all over the world through this challenge.

May the Lord continue to enrichly bless your ministry and your family.  Thank you for the opportunity to share! God loves you and so do I.

The Woman2Woman Lounge thanks Regina Baker for allowing us to share with our readers her story. More information on Regina and Wahmcart at: http://www.Wahmcart.com

This weeks woman in the spotlight is passionate about people. Her love for bringing people together fit in perfectly when it came to forming WBO back in February of 2004. Her name is Anna Campbell. Anna lives in Houston Texas with her husband and daughter. She is the President and Founder of Women Business Owners. Anna loves to share, educate, support, and learn from other women. WBO is a non-profit organization that provides education and support for all women business owners. Women Business Owners work with you to make your business work.

At the WBO website the group offers an online resource directory filled with articles, recorded classes, press releases, and documents. WBO also publishes a resourceful online monthly magazine. Each issue is filled with articles, recipes, business tips, reader comments, and much more. You can read it online at their magazine’s website.

Anna is no stranger to entrepreneurship, she has owned a candle, printing, and an event coordination company. Anna enjoys working with those with vision who work to see them come to fruition. She loves to share, educate, support, and learn from women. Anna is also the network leader for the WBO forum on the Ryze network. The Woman2Woman lounge is pleased to share the interview we had with Mrs. Campbell with our readers.

W2W: What was your motivation behind starting WBO?

Anna: I wanted to create a group for women business owners that provides them with business education and business support from fellow women business owners online and offline.

I have found many women starting a business or already in business are interested in having us support them financially. We always ask, "why are you in business", "where do you plan to be in 5 years with your business", "how did you establish your business entity", "who is going to run this business when you pass away or change paths". Unfortunately, most that are only seeking financial support can not answer these questions, and are not able to maintain their business with or without financial assistance. With our organization, we educate women on every phase of business ownership. Financial assistance is only a very small part of ownership, and should not be the only requested form of support.

W2W: With your life amazingly full how do you keep your marriage and family strong?

Anna: My marriage and my family are my core. My God is very merciful and loving, he holds me while I am in pain and he rejoices with me during triumphs. I have a very loving and support husband that believes in me and really stands by me during pain or joy. Our precious daughter is growing and changing and really bringing our family unit closer and closer together. Our love for each other really helps us to constantly go back to our core. My life would be very lonely and empty without them.

W2W: How do you hope to see WBO grow within the next couple of years?

Anna: I hope to look back in a couple of years and see our local networking groups stretching throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Ireland, England, Scotland, Iceland, Asia, Africa, South America, and beyond! I am also eager on the expansion of our WBO Magazine to be in print and available in stores throughout the world.

W2W: Children are very impressionable. What are you trying to teach your daughter in the way that you live your life?

Anna: I am trying to be a good example of serving others. Of being kind and understanding. And knowing that we are human, we will make mistakes, and through God we are forgiven, over, and over again.

W2W: As Christians we know and believe in the power of prayer. How have you as a Christian woman seen the manifestation of your prayers over the years within in your business and your family life?

Anna: I pray daily for my personal and business life. I pray for endurance, strength, wisdom, patience, forgiveness, compassion, love, and acceptance.
I believe prayer is communicating with God by sharing every thought, dream, ambition, fear, goal, and idea.  I believe that through prayer I am empowered, freed, healed, and lifted up.

W2W: When you feel the juggle of family, business, and just dealing with things life brings about in general on a day to day basis becoming a little weighty what scripture in God's word do you draw strength and calmness from?

Anna: Mark 9:23 (King James Version)

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth "Through God, all things are possible".

W2W: What words of advice can you give to others trying to develop leadership skills reach their full potential?

Anna: Practice. Watch. Listen. Observe. Believe. Will your choices as a leader bring about positive or negative? Will your choices lift up those following you or drag them under?  Are you listening? Are you trying to understand their point of view? Are you remembering that we all make mistakes?  Patience is a virtue... earned with time repeatedly. Understanding is earned with time. The more people you can reach, the more you need to experience. The more you need to be educated in their way of life, their trials and tribulations.  Then.. you can start being a leader.
I have been taught, over and over again. I can only lead, when I can also follow.
