Jesus changes lives

My mind was full of confusion and I sought relief.
My life was filled with turmoil, my soul was full of grief.
My head had been filled with so many lies, I didn’t know what was truth.
I just wanted this pain to go away, I didn’t feel like I could survive it another day.
I was sick to my stomach when I thought of the life I had led.
I felt so all alone, my eyes had no tears left to shed.
If only I knew of someone I could meet.
All I needed was a little help in getting back on my feet.
I cried out for help and threw my hands in the air.
I wondered if there was help for me anywhere out there.
Then as I walked along the road with my head hanging to the ground,
I saw a piece of paper blowing around.
I picked it up, it was a gospel tract,
The title said, "I can help you win your life back"!
I thought to myself, how, and who could this be,
inside the booklet it said, my name is Jesus, just call upon me.
This person said he was the way, the truth, and the life,
and if I trusted in him He could make things right.
As the tract instructed, I got on my knees,
and cried out to Jesus saying, "will you help me, PLEASE"!
I don’t know you but I am willing to seek you as you say,
and give my life over to you and trust you all the way.
From that day my life changed, my days no longer were gray,
Oh how thankful I am I found my help in JESUS on that fateful day.

No other Name

There is nothing I can say to tickle your ear.
I must speak what is truth and always be sincere.
Of the name of Jesus I will always proclaim,
because there is none greater than this name.
No matter how many others may come and go,
Jesus will always be the truth, I love him so.
Man made rules come by false teachers in which you must comply.
Jesus always stands behind the truth and never a lie.
His way is straight, and His road leads to Father God.
You will be never be led astray, if the path He leads you decide to trod.
Let Jesus be your example in living life right.
Meditate on God’s word day and night.
Mistakes will be made along the way this God knows,
that’s why forgiveness is in Christ Jesus and He Arose.

Silent Whispers

The Canyon
When I walked behind You, I never felt pain.
Feeling Your love, I shouted Your name.
I shouted it out, with all of my might.
While standing within, Your golden love-light.
But something had happened, not long ago.
I became distracted, and left Your gold glow.
A canyon had formed, between our close reach.
I could no longer hear, nor could I teach.
As the crevasse grew wider, the light became dim.
Fog rose from the canyon, and I couldn't see Him.
As the fog engulfed me, I felt a cold chill.
I stepped away from the canyon, which grew from my will.
In the opposite direction, I walked away from my Lord.
Feeling lost and empty, I unsheathed my sword.
As I looked down upon it, a light caught my eye.
In sheer desperation, I started to cry.
And as my tears, had hit the dark ground.
In the distance behind me, came a rumbling sound.
I had noticed the canyon, closing once more.
I then saw His lighthouse, on the opposite shore.
His Light entered my eye, and lit up my heart.
The fog had receded, and began to depart.
As the canyon was closing, night became day.
I brushed the dirt from my knees, and started running His way.
In my final step, I dove into His Arms.
Away from the darkness, I was now safe from harm.
As I begged His forgiveness, He lifted my chin.
And I promised to never, leave Him again.

Time...

Lord I thank you for this life of mine,
You have given me a measure of Time.
I try to put my thoughts to paper,
Your word says we are but a vapor.
Lord I ask from a hungry heart,
A new beginning but, where do I start?
I seek your face and not your hand,
Lord do you have a purpose at hand?
Lord you are the precious pearl,
Sometimes I act just like a small girl.
I pray today for new revelation,
Oh God help me out of my desolation.
Lord you are worthy of all praise,
My heart and voice I thankfully raise.
You move me beyond any emotion,
How do I express my love and devotion?
Lord Time escapes the best of us,
When do we catch up and do it justice?
You are the author and finisher of all.
I pray now to answer your call.
